Audio sample-rate affecting time display

Hi, please excuse if this has been discussed elsewhere, I could not find any topics about this issue.

I am using AllVideos for some audio speeches on a client's website. I have noticed that the first time I load the page, the audio loads fine, but it incorrectly displays the time-length of the file. The number shown is approximately (but not exactly) 4x the actual time-length (i.e. a 17:16 length track shows at "71:20"). If I reload the page, the correct length is shown, but any other computer/browser that views the page for the first time has the same problem.

I have tested with other audio files, and have come to the conclusion that it is a problem with the sample-rate of the audio. My client is using files with a sample-rate of 11025Hz. I have tested using song files on my computer (sample-rate 44100Hz) and I have had no problems.

Re-sampling all the files to 44100Hz will greatly increase the file-size, particularly because the length of the audio files on the webpage. So I would rather find a fix to the plug-in if possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated!  :D
