Hi..

Recently i've installed this plugin on a site to show just one external video. (Outside my server)

The problem comes when my ISP called me to say that on Friday and Saturday i got more than 11Gb of bandwidth consumption!!! The rest of the previous days it was like 200Kb and the next days again 200Kb

11Gb is way too much from an external video. So... i don't know what happened, but i will have to pay more money than i ever expected. The rest of the videos are on amazonS3 and bitsontherun managing them.

Urchin report says:
/plugins/content/jw_allvideos/includes/players/mediaplayer/player.swf -> 11.6Gb in just two days.

How can this be possible? i'm being hacked?

Of course, i will delete this plugin if the bandwidth goes over 5Mb month with external video.

Btw, this is the code:

{flvremote}m.fulltiltpoker.com/commercials/com/2010/play-like-me.flv|200|164{/flvremote}

Any info will be appreciate.

The video file may be retrieved by some other (popular) site, thus consuming bandwidth.

I don't know however if someone used your .swf player to retrieve some video from a 2nd site, played back on a 3rd site. Kind of science fiction really.

Consider this: how big is the video file? If it's 100MB, 110 views are enough to consume 11GBs.

The plugin just plays back the video as you would if you created the embed code on your own.

Finally, what host is charging you for 11GBs? Consider these alternatives: forum.joomlaworks.net/welcome-to-the-joomlaworks-community-forum/recommended-hosting-companies-%28in-case-you%27re-frustrated-with-your-current-one!%29/
