I tried to find out how to change the color of the rating stars from black to yellow. Could you please give me a hint ?

The rating stars are loading through a .png image located in
templates/nokkori/images/system/transparent_star.png

Thanks for the update, Yiota. But how can I change the color of the star itself ? The mentioned image has got 3 stars, one transparent, one yellow and one orange.

If I look at your demo site, the stars are black:

There are two images with the same name but the first one is .gif and the other one is .png. You need the latter, .png file.

Just modify it with photoshop, or a similar program, and change its colors per state.
The first one is for not voted, the second one is for hover states and the third one is for active states.
