Basic newbie mistake: what is the correct set up for the HOME menu item as I an now getting something new in the middle of the home page

Do you mean the one referring to Blog (1) and below?

That was not there when the template was first installed so I must have changed something

Go to your home page menu item and check that all Leading, Primary, etc are set to 0.

That did not make any difference. I cannot find where this text is coming from but I could actually use it. Any ideas where it is so I can edit it?

SOLVED

My HOME Menu was NOT set to be the Featured List. I change it to be this and the odd text has now gone!
