is it possible to inactivate the latest articles from a specific category? (I don't use the K2 at the moment)

latest articles from a specific category is a menu item.
Simply unpublish this menu item.

I didn't deliver the right question.
At the end of every article we could see a list with the latest articles from the author. I would like to inactivate this list from some articles the I will choose . For example in this page:

demo.nuevvo.com/#newsworth/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=98&Itemid=128

you could see at the end  "latest from administrator". I would like to make this list invisible. Is that possible?

These are generated from the nuContent plugin, not from K2.
What the plugin does is simply enhance the article with some elements (com_content elements).
