I'm am having trouble installing the quick start version of this theme. When I upload it to Joomla, I don't receive an installation successful message, I get no message at all. Is there a way to just edit and modify the demo site as it is?

Hello Winston

Please read the tutorial and follow these steps.
The quickstart package cannot be installed over Joomla!, it is by itself a Joomla! installation with all the content and the extensions installed.

Once you install it, pay attention to the live site field.
That field is optional, if you choose to fill it, make sure your url starts with http://

Hi Krikor if i send you my cpane details can you install the Radiowave Quickstart because I just can't do it.. I'm having the same problems jack had. I may have to invest in a teach yourself Joomla book.

Jack was trying to install the package over joomla!.
That will not work.

You have to install the package by itself.
The quickstart package is a complete Joomla! installation and site by itself.

That mean that you might have to delete the Joomla! installation you made and install the package on top.

The way you install the package is almost identical to Joomla!'s installation.

As for the book thing.

Since all of our templates are based on K2.

Does your server meet the minimum requirements to run Joomla! ?

Alternatively you can try the manual installation.

Hi Krikor I just wanted to let you know that the instillation was a success. BUT lol... When i click on the popup player is a blank screen and this message comes up inside the players box 403 Forbidden.. also I'm not sure how to add my stream to to the template. Do I copy and paste one of the widgets from radiojar or do I copy my stream name and paste it to the existing code on radiowave

ps. Is there a book on using k2 or should i get a book on joomila 3 because its going to take me time to navigate the template

The Archetype template does not have a player. You are probably referring to the Radiowave template.

If you are having issues you first need to read its documentation:

Finally make sure your files and folders have the correct permissions. 755 for folders and 644 for files. Admin Tools is installed in the quickstart, which you can use in order to correct your file permissions.

I'm still having problems with the popup player. Its still giving the same message 403 forbidden nginx. I've checked the permission and they seem to be ok all folders are 755 and 644 for files. Any suggestion

This is most likely a server related issue.
It is connected to your server setup.
Are you using any SEO/SEF extensions?

Finally if you are using sef urls and rewrite have you properly setup your nginx rules?

PS. Try turning sef off and see if the popup is functioning properly.
