Hello Felipe,

Sadly I have not done this before.
This is 3 year old thread but I am sure you have already tried it.
getk2.org/community/English-K2-Community/147850-Import-Zoo-items-to-K2

Kinda long thread here:
getk2.org/community/English-K2-Community/1546-Tool-for-importing--exporting-items-to--from-K2?limit=30&start=120

Should all else fail:
I would look for a Zoo to com_content migrator (if it exists) and then migrate the articles to K2. Finally I would use this little plugin for the images.
getk2.org/extend/extensions/616-iaki-import-as-k2-image

Let us know how you it went or if you need any further assistance.

Thanks Krikor for your answer,

Both links you gave me don't help solving my migration from Zoo to K2 (Joomla 3.2) problem.

The task is very complex because Zoo stores article data on a database table named zoo_item, but this table has one field ("elements") that piles several important data from article, ON THE SAME DATABASE TABLE FIELD!!!

Here is the answer I got from Individual IT (the Developer of the K2 Import / Export Tool):

That data inside "elements" is JSON format. So you would need something to decode that. For example you could write a simple PHP script that gets the rows from the database, decodes the JSON and put all data in the correct columns

I tried that with the help of a programmer, but sadly without success.

I'm begging for help here. I REALLY need to migrate my articles to K2. From my point of view, people at Yootheme kind of dropped ZOO in order to maximize their promising projects Warp, UIkit and the upcoming Pagekit. So, maybe in the near future more people have the same problem I have now.

Regards,
Felipe Z.

That's a shame. I think you should hire a professional for this task. I have seen similar tasks in Joomlancers and similar tasks with very reasonable fees.

You can also try the K2 forum and community to see if someone has an extension or a solution to offer.
