psd files , where to load?

psd files , where to load? was created by JOsh
I am sure it is obvious but where exactly should the psd files be loaded, in the public directory or somewhere with the the template file?

The PSD files are photoshop files.
They are the graphics of the site. They do not need to be loaded in Joomla!.
