I'm new to joomla and using joomla 3.3.1 and latest k2 (2.6.8) I tried to setup the kiji_menu with entries from categories.
I setup a main menu and chose k2>category listings, within options I chose the related categories. Trying so I do only get the k2 listings within component but not the categories within the menu.
your help is very much appreciated, thanks Peer

I am not quite sure I understand you.
If you created a menu item towards many categories, then in that view you will see items from all these categories.

I want to create the vertical menu, therefore I created a menu, menu type > k2 > categories, within "options" I chose the relevant categories and hit save.
Menu module is set to show only the first level of the categories.
Therefore I thought that all first level categorienames would appear. Instead i do get all content in the compontent with the display settings from the k2 categories.
Is it possible to chosse the category-list for a menu? If yes, how to setup the kiji_menu linking to categories.
many thanks

So far so good. Now I am sorry if I am just aksing the obvious?
You did make each K2 category a separate menu item?

One menu item per category. Not one menu item pointing to all categories, this will never work (regardless of the template).

in the meantime I build up the mega_menu and the hero_menu.
my problem at that point is that the mega_menu doesn't flout on the left side, horizontically it is now before hero_menu. Shouldn't it come right away on the left side? What am I doing wrong?
please see picture below.
many thanks
