Does this plugin allow for indexing of the comments by search engines?  I believe the WordPress plugin advertised on Disqus does facilitate this.  There are some work arounds to database comments I have seen but looknig for the component to do it on it's own

Still waiting for an answer to this.  From what I have read one huge downside to Disqus is that the comments are not indexable by google etc.  The wordpress plugin for Disqus databases the comments so that they are available to the SE's.  Does this Extension facilitate this?  I would like to use Disqus but this large downside is a large concern.

No, this plugin for Joomla is NOT SEO friendly.

Wow!  I actually got a response from someone!  Is this really the case?  the comments are just lost to the search engines?  Is there a fix for this coming?  I thought I had read that the wordpress plugin is much better at SEO.  Will the Joomla edition be as well soon?
