I am having problems with my Disqus installation on Joomla 1.7.
There are errors when installing AND uninstalling Disqus.
Many of the links and descriptions associated with the Disqus plugin appear as follows:

JW_DISQUS_SELECT_CATEGORIES_TO_RENDER_THE_PLUGIN
Also, when trying to access the comjwdisqus admin panel, I get a 404 not found error.
The link under "Components" appears as comjwdisqus.
Uninstall errors:
