I came across the DISQUS plugin for Joomla 1.5 and was excited about it - will likely install on any new 1.5 builds

BUT I have several 1.0 builds I would like to deploy this on - I did read that the plugin would be made available for 1.0 installs

excuse me but - Im excited about it and was wondering if you have an idea on when the DISQUS for Joomla 1.0 would be ready

Hi rbusse,

My best guess is that there will be no DISQUS plugin forJoomla 1.0.x. Because Joomla 1.0.x is not developed/maintained anymore. So Joomla 1.5.x is the focus. Just as many template-clubs and extension developers also do not support J1.0 anymore.

your raining on my parade  :( There are thousands of sites out there using Joomla 1.0 and not 1.5 (and as a matter of fact if you publish content as much as we do - you would know 1.0 is much more efficient in many ways - 1.5 is dummy proof though )

I'm guessing that the DISQUS people have plans to open their service to other languages as well. You can contact them directly if you want on this post:

Regarding display options, we will roll out v1.2 soon (along with the J!1.0.x version) which will feature the ability to filter where you want the comments to appear. ;)

any news on this?
