Save settings was created by juan sanchez
Hi Support,
I've installed Numodus free template. I'm using the standard style "nuModusVersus - Default". When I include some "Content highlight" section in my home page and press in the "save" button, the system is not saving any of my changes (although it gives me message that everything has been saved) and it deletes all my changes in the customizing so I have to restart again my work.
Could you please assist on this?
Thanks in advance,
Regards

Hello Juan,
Are your file/folder permissions correct? 644 for files and 755 for folders? Have you used the latest template version? (Check the update packages as well).

Thanks for your feedback Krikor.
I'm using xampp in windows (localhost installation). How can i check folder permissions?
Also, how can i update to last version of the template (i'm using version 1.0.1) with loosing changes i've done in the css files?
I've been some more tests and it's very strange: it seems everything is working fine (i.e i can save my changes to the template) while adding new sections from "add content highglight" up to the forth element. When I saved it, it makes the template go the initial step.
Thanks in advance,
Regards

If you have used the custom.css file you won't have to worry about losing any changes. In any other case you should backup your files before updating.
I will have to duplicate this strange behaviour. Have you tried enabling error reporting btw ?
PS. It is not a permissions error, if it was you would not be able to change any of the template's params.
Finally I will need some more info from your side. Did you use the quickstart package or did you use the template on an existing site? Also which version of Joomla! are you using?

Thanks Krikor.
What I meant is how can i update template files? I can't see any documentation on this in your website.
Also, how can I enable error reporting?
I have downloaded your 3.x quickstart package. Then I have updated the core joomla component to 3.2.1 version.
Thanks in advance,
Regards

Here you go nuevvo.com/documentation/general-resources/installation/item/59-installing-vs-upgrading .
Error reporting can be enabled from the Global Configuration menu and the server tab. No need to lose your data, I was just asking if by any chance you saw a PHP error.

Ok, thanks Krikor. Is the upgrade package located in the "Template Package v1.0.3 Update" link? Should I simply overwrite my old template files with all the files in this zip file?
Thanks in advance,

Make sure you get the update package ( NOT the entire package ) and install it on top of your template. FTP'ing the files might also work if you have modified several files.

Hi Krikor,
Updating to latest release of the template fixed the issue. You can close the ticket.
Thanks!
