FPSS 3.0. Spinning wheel in WAMP was created by paul_g
Hi, thanks for the great work on this brand new version!

I just uninstalled 2.9.4. and installed the new version on my local WAMP-testsite but the slideshow doesn't start, I only see a spinning wheel and the thumbnails.
I tested it in IE9, Firefox 5.0 and Google Chrome with the same result.
Version 2.9.4. works great as well in WAMP as online.

Any suggestions?

Greetings, Paul

I has the wheel spinning on the prior version and still have it on 3.0

I did a little investigation found this in the web console log
[19:20:04.320] GET fjmc-org.myhostcontrol.com/javascript/AC_RunActiveContent.js [HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found 41ms]

[19:20:04.429] GET fjmc-org.myhostcontrol.com/javascript/global.js [HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found 46ms]

If I look at  the html source it seems to generate correctly but then it goes to run the slides and does not find javascript.

I would like to mark this solved, but I am not sure we are dealing with the same problem.  I found mootoolsupgrade was being loaded on the failing sites but not on one site I had which worked. I disabled the plugin and the slideshow started working.  :)

Not sure what loaded the plugin, but I suspect it may have been jupgrade.

For me, as topicstarter, this issue (and also the other issues in my other topic) isn't solved.
So the wheel keeps spinning....

I just tested FPSS 3.0 in a new Joomla 1.7 testsite with JA Purity II template, also in WAMP and that works, except for the vanishing Cpanel of the template. Disabling FPSS 3.0 brings Cpanel back.
So the problem is not only related with Joomla 1.5.23 but also with certain templates in Joomla 1.7.
Because my productionsite is Joomla 1.5.23 with FPSS 2.9.4 I have to wait for a solution from support.

I found the solution bij disabling the option "Load Jquery library" in the module Gtranslate.  No spinning wheel in all my browsers anymore and also my template works fine now! ;D

Probably a conflict with an older copy of the jQuery library. Frontpage Slideshow always uses the latest jQuery library, by the way.
