Installing FPSS 3.0.0 on a fresh Joomla 1.7 install (not an upgrade or anything else) causes this error:

"Error building Admin Menus."

Unable to use FPSS since the menus don't show up.

Downloaded the latest Joomla 1.7 and installed FPSS first with the Error building Admin Menus.

Not sure why it happens but after some testing, the install works 3 out of 5 times on a fresh Joomla install. I have no idea why it failed on the other 2. So I wouldn't have to rebuild my entire site just for this component, I figured I would try and bang through it.

I uninstalled FPSS through the Extension Manager - it will say it can't install the admin - and I then went into PHPMyAdmin and removed all instances of FPSS from the database, and it reinstalled fine.

Not sure if this is an issue with FPSS or my host, but either way, it worked.

Which database tables did you find FPSS content to remove? I found one entry in the _menus table and removed it. Content in the _modules table was removed upon uninstalling FPSS. Still no luck getting it to work though. I am not going to reinstall Joomla, so I am hoping to figure out the FPSS bug or move on to something else that will work.

Unfortunately I did it in such a rush due to early morning frustration and lack of caffeine that I didn't write em down. 

I just searched the entire database for fpss and joomlaworks and removed all instances, cleared the cache, and reinstalled.  Seems to be working ok. 

I got it to work through manually installing the Admin menu. Works just fine. No Joomla reinstall needed (of course).

Yeah...I thought reinstall the whole thing was a bit "Geek Squad"....just wipe it and start over.
