Can't change the order in new version

Can't change the order in new version was created by Ashley Markus

The new version is not allowing me to change the order of slides- it shows numbers but I have no arrows to move up and down and can't write inside the boxes. It's just displaying them as I created them.
anyone else have this
?

Filter out a specific category and then click on the "order" column title. Then use the 4-directional arrows to drag and drop slides so they are re-ordered as you see fit.

I tried this but the Order number are greyed out and there are no arrows to move the slides up or down. (the only arrow I see is the sort column order)

These are the right steps:

1. In the "slides" list, filter a certain category from the drop down, located on the right, above the slides list.
2. Now you see the slides for that particular category. Hit the "Order" table header, so manual ordering is enabled.
3. Drag a slide from the 4-directional arrow to re-order it.
That's it :)

That does work but how are any of my clients supposed to know? It requires doing too many steps just to change the order when none of Joomla works this way (nor did old versions of FPSS). It's nice to be able to drag and drop but getting to that point is cumbersome and no one will figure it out on their own. Is there any way to just have the + symbols automatically load so people can drag and right away?

You may also set the order you want by writing just numbers.

It worked for me. Thanks a lot. Altough it was tricky there is a logic doing like that.

Same, I followed the steps but the directional arrows never appear, so I am not able to re-order. In the parameters section, I have "Use Compoinent Ordering" selected.

I *LOVE* the new drag-and-drop method for ordering. I would suggest auto-selecting the first category if none was selected, so it will be obvious to users that they need to select a category from the dropdown.

I followed every step her but none of the sorting headers working. when I click Order or featured Order or any other table header, it does not do anything and all Order numbers greyed out. I am using joomla 2.5.1
please advice.

I also get no 4 directional arrows and the order numbers are greyed out.

Also wondering why when I am logged in I need to use the captcha nuisance
