Seeing errors in the component panel, unable to load samples and create categories:

After trying to create category:

What was suggested was no help...this program is not working at all

Contact your hosting company and ask them to fix your permissions as they should be please.

This was not a permission issue, from the error listed above, this was  failure of the proper creation of fpss_categories and slide tables....I fixed the problem by deleting both from the database, then uninstalling your software...the reinstall of the software finally corrected problem...please not prior to this i had uninstalled and reinstalled your software at least 6 times without any success and running permission fix on the files did not work either...

Thank you for replying but please, can you do a little more investigating than telling me to just run tools that have no effect on the problem...

I had the same error and fixed it by just de-installing and re-installing FPSlideshow three times.
