Help needed configuring frontpage slideshow system was created by dcasmr

Hello
I am very new to Frontpage slideshow and struggling to get it to display the way I want it. I am able to add the articles to each slide and make the links.
When the slideshow is displayed there is a large dark offset to the right. Shouldn't the the smallthumbails and the articles title be there? How to remove that area?
