Hi

I am having an issue with Frontpage Slideshow on my live site.

I am trying to add some new images to the slideshow...

When I try to upload from my computer I get 'This is not an Image file"

I FTP'ed the slideshow images I want to use to the image directory, however when I select them in there, I also get "This is not an Image file"

I noticed that the path it is trying to load the images from is -

images/coolgelmat///home/cgm/public_html/images/coolgelmat/Slideshow01.png

obviously this should be -

/home/cgm/public_html/images/coolgelmat/Slideshow01.png

where is the images/coolgelmat// path coming from....where can I change this?

First of all, check your permissions please.

Checking the permissions was the first thing I did, there are all identical...surely you can see from what I posted the issue is obviously not there...

In fact to make sure it was not a permission I tried to recreate one of the working slideshow images on the live site, linking to an image that is already displaying, I get the 'This is not an image file' error and it, as stated in my original post, seems to be looking for the image files in the wrong location...

Could you please let me know why it is looking for the images in images/coolgelmat///home/cgm/public_html/images/coolgelmat/Slideshow01.png instead of /home/cgm/public_html/images/coolgelmat/Slideshow01.png

where is this path set in the config files?

For start, please upgrade to 3.0.4 FPSS version.

I have upgraded to 3.04 and the problem still exists!!

Obviously it is an issue with the file paths!  Could you please give me an answer as to why this is and how to correct it instead of fobbing me off with basic tech support questions!! 

I find it pretty unacceptable that a commercial product with supposedly commercial support takes this long just to work out a file path issue...

Please upgrade your PHP version to the latest one. This will probably solve your issue.

I have done so and it is still having the same issue...

what is next??

Upgrade to FPSS 3.0.5 and if the problem remains please pm me access to your super admin.
