I just upgraded to the new FrontPage SlideShow extension for my Joomla 1.5.23.  When I did so, my slides are not showing up in the Slides area (See screencast.com/t/KK4mssb5Wjd).  When I go to the categories listing it shows that I have 10 slides in the category (See screencast.com/t/t50HaoBAAfLO). When I click on the icon to view the slides none are listed. (See screencast.com/t/JtwXR4kmBTxS)

I would appreciate your help with this matter.  I have been very impressed with this tool.

What is the previous FPSS version you used?

i also just updated recently (old version before was recently too) and I can't believe it, all my slides are gone !!!! I had a around 500 and my entire page got useless. Its quite a desaster. Its the first time we see that an upgrade of an extension is deleting data by an update.

Please assist ! If you can't help out we would like to make a refund because we face in top now many hours of work, all at sunday, thank you guys !

I tried to re-add the slides, but it gives me :

its worst even, I uninstalled the plug, then installed it again because through the update, the mysql tables were uncompatible. Now I made a new category , an new slide but nothing is showing up anymore.

super, all that one day before a public campain and I can't stop it.

Did you read the first paragraphs in FPSS documentation about installation?

you should have write this in your update notification mail or in the release notes as everybody else does. IN BIG RED : WE ERASE YOUR DATA.

I am developing since 15 years enterprise software and erasing data however just for own convinience is anything else than common practice, even for JED devs. Thats however just rubbish !

Even your new version doesnt work at all.  Please read in the JED my review.

as said, this belongs in the release notes and in your notification mail. who the heck goes for release notes to a forum ?

and please, for this price I can just expect that you're migrating old data by self. We spend 2000,- a year for extensions and we never had this kind of trouble.  Please consider a clean and working extension.

Now, is FPSS in the JED these days?  I can't seem to find it...?!
