No links to article was created by Dominique Gering
Hello,

I've downloaded the update of FrontPage Slidehow.
I've just a problem with the links to articles from the slideshow (error 404).

I've searched in the forum and I've found this post : forum.joomlaworks.net/frontpage-slideshow-v1-v2-(for-joomla!)/fpss-sef-url's-not-the-same-as-joomla-sef-url's/msg16332/?topicseen#msg16332

I've modified the .htaccess by replacing this line :
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^(/eurospace/component/option,com) [NC,OR]
as Joomla is installed in the 'eurospace' subdirectory but it doesn't help ...

The URL is : www.presencenet.be/eurospace

Best regards.

@dom1706

It seems to be a problem with your setup when SEF urls are enabled. Try the following:

1. Update Joomla! to it's latest stable version (1.5.25)
2. Make sure that you are using the default htaccess file that comes with Joomla!

Hello Lefteris,

I've upgraded my Joomla version (=> 1.5.15) and put the original .htaccess file
But still the 404 problem when I click on the slideshow ...
I've to say the slideshow is working when I'm on the 'home' page (accueil in french).
But when I'm on another page, I have the 404 error ...

Hope you can help me.
Best regards.

Hello Katia,

Thanks for taking time !
But unfortunately, the links are not working, I've tried on another computer with another OS and same thing : 404 error ! except if I click first on the 'accueil' (firt item on the main horizontal menu); in that only case, the links are working ...

As lefteris said, it's well a problem with SEF; if I disable it, the links are working !

Best regards.

Hi. You probably have linked the slides to articles that you removed later. Just created a new slide and linked it to "Intro" article. It works fine. Also have in mind that in order to have content in other languages than the base on, you need to use JoomFish and translate the slides, the slides categories and of course the Joomla! articles.

Hello lefteris,

I've also created a new slide and linked to an article and it works fine !
But what do I have to do to link to article I've removed ??? I want this one and not another one ...
Do I have to delete this article and recreate a new one ?
Best regards.
Dominique,

PS : thanks for your advice about JoomFish!, i had this module installed before Frontpage Slideshow.

The article you use to link your items should be valid...
