I am having several issues and difficulty installing Frontpage Slideshow on my Joomla 1.7 website.  I also need some clarifications.  I was able to download two zip files, (i) FrontpageSlideshow-v2.4 Standalone and (ii) FrontpageSlideshow-v3.0.5_1.5-1.7

First what is the difference with these two files ?.  I am not sure.

For the standalone file, I could not install it because:  "JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find XML setup file"
Could someone please advise how I overcome the above issue.

With the v3.0.5 version, it seems I got a particle install and then this message:  "Notice: Frontpage Slideshow Content Elements for Joom!Fish were not copied to the related folder, because Joom!Fish was not found on your system."

I do see a Frontpage Slideshow link on my joomla component drop-down menu, indicating that some of the install occurred - but I am confused about this Joom!Fish message above.  I am thinking that I need to also install Joom!Fish and there is a new version 2.1.7 - but I read somwhere that it is not compatible with Joomla 1.7.  What gives here ?,

The standalone version is for non joomla sites.
So you did well by installing 3.0.5 version which is compatible to your cms.
As far as I can imagine the installation gone well.
The message you got just informs you that you may need to install Joom!Fish if you want to translate FPSS, that is all.
