As you can see I am using the standard demo data yet I am getting a strange layout / rendering issue on the side menu where nothing seems to line up or shade the full menu. Advice on how this can be fixed would be appreciated.

in your template.css line 58
remove the text shadow and it should be fine.
see the line below
template.css line 58:
.moduletable, .moduletable_text, .moduletable_menu, .items-leading {
text-shadow: 1px 1px 0px white; <---remove this line
}
hoop this helps.

sorry I did try that but it had no impact so I replaced the line of code. I have this time left the line commented out so you can see it had no effect. I even tried commenting out the whole block.
Still looking for a solution.

I hope I can get to the bottom of this as I am nearly ready to chuck it and find a different solution.
Any help would be appreciated

No the problem still exists as demonstrated at www.newrockdirect.co.uk/bondbug.com/ .

The easiest way to describe the layout issues is to view the gallery and you will see how the side menu spacing and image backgrounds look to be spaced incorrectly and smaller than they should be when movement happens.
The template supplier suggested publishing to the slideshow module of the template but the problem remains.
