Hello,

When editing a slide and when I choose a Joomla!article (and not a custom URL), the URL field - just under the tagline - is automatically filled with the title of this Joomla!article. I can't change or edit this field ...

This "URL"  is since then displayed in the slideshow just under the title and is useless.

How to remove it ?

I can't use this product in my site until this is solved....  it would be nice to hear YES WE CAN or NO WE CAN'T solve this issue...

Disable link tracking parameter via the  components -FPSS-Options parameters.

I think you are talking about disabling statistics...  statistics are disabled.  large photos in FPSS are still hot.. or hyperlinked... if you click on them, it re-loads the page.  as the I have asked here and in other posts..  how do remove, or disable the URL hyperlink, if it is  only re-loading the page??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ???

This "scrambled" link shows up because you have "link tracking" enabled in the component's parameters. Disable to have your inserted links show up instead.

I've read most of the topic regarding this issue.

frontpage slideshow -- i want to disable url features from my slideshow.
-- when creating the slide (backend) there is "URL" option and normally i just leave it blank.
but from front end the slideshow still showing the "hand image icon" meaning that slide is having an url but doesn't link to any article or url.

from the solution given, i need to disable "url tracking" in component - option.
but for version 3.5.1, i cant see it.. the only option available are..

Enable WYSIWYG editor in 'custom text' area No Yes
Enable statistics No Yes
Enforce new site Memory Limit (in MBs)

This is actually controlled in the module parameters. In the module under content parameters ... the very last option is disable slide links. Then it does not matter what you have the links set to in the component ... the module params will override it. You will still have a hand pop up when you mouse over the large image but you will not be able to click it .... After you change the module params make sure you clear the cache before checking it again. Cheers!
