Just upgraded to the new version FrontpageSlideshow-v3.1.0_j1.5-1.7-2.5 on J1.5 - v.2.* was not an issue.

FPSSCategory::store failed - Unknown column 'params' in 'field list' SQL=UPDATE `star_fpss_categories` SET `name`='Front Page',`published`='1',`params`='imageWidth=450\nimageQuality=55\nthumbWidth=10\nthumbQuality=10\npreviewWidth=450\npreviewQuality=55\ntitle=0\ntext=1\ntagline=0\ncategory=0\nauthor=0\nreadmore=0\ntarget=_self\nliveData=0\n\n' WHERE id='1'
