I have tried several pixels variations and the thumbnails never appear to be size correctly.

The original out of the box settings are still there. The only manipulation I made was with the actual image.

Can anyone give me a tip a solutions or where to start?

I don't need custom, the slideshow looks great as is except thumbnails.
