If you choose K2, Virtuemart, redShop or Tienda as your slide content source, the title, description text, link AND image will also be automatically populated from the original content. You can override any part of this content, except the link.

Joomla 1.7.3 / K2 2.5.4 - Slide content cannot be overridden, it is always using the original K2 content, no matter what is written or deleted from the slide text area. If I change the K2 item, it is instantly updated in the slide (hot-linked). Could be a minor issue?

The "issue" was my missing the option "Fetch data from 3rd party extension at runtime" which should have been off - everything functioned as it were supposed to - the error was mine.
