After downloading:  FrontpageSlideshow-v3.2.0_j1.5-2.5  I get the next error at the installation:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method JDatabaseMySQL::quoteName() in /home/erikteka/domains/mkbfilms.nl/public_html/administrator/components/com_fpss/tables/slide.php on line 51

I tried the installation again and then the message was that ithe nstaller could not find the xml setup and that there was an error by building the admin menu.

The module is installed, but not the component.

I use Joomla version 1.6

Please can you help me.

Did you upgrade fron an older FPSS version or you did a clean intallation?

It was from a clean installation.
I did it twice and both times the same error messages.

First make sure that you are trying to install only the zip folder with FPSS version for joomla sites.
According the error by building the admin menu check this please:

However, joomla! 1.6. version is not a long term supported version and what I suggest you is to upgrade to joomla 2.5 asap.
