Hi All :)

We have had FPSS working well in a Joomla installation for the last 7 months.

Today it has stopped showing on the front end of the site. We have not made any configuration changes.

In the admin area, in Module Manager I see the following Warning in the Basic Options, just under Select slideshow category.

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /xxxx/xxxx/public_html/libraries/joomla/html/html/select.php on line 518

And in Components - Frontpage SlideShow I see the following Warnings.

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /xxx/xxx/public_html/administrator/components/com_fpss/views/slides/view.html.php on line 51

Warning: array_unshift() [function.array-unshift]: The first argument should be an array in /xxx/xxx/public_html/administrator/components/com_fpss/helpers/html.php on line 39

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /xxx/xxx/public_html/libraries/joomla/html/html/select.php on line 518

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /xxx/xxx/public_html/administrator/components/com_fpss/views/slides/tmpl/default.php on line 62

Any clues as to what the issue could be??

Slideshow version v3.0.1
Joomla version 1.7.0

Many thanks for any help :)

Cheers

Thanks for the comment Katia :)

So, a FPSS installation checks to see if it is the latest version, and stops working if it finds out it is not the latest version?

Is that not a bit odd?

I will go through the upgrades, but am very surprised that it works like this...

Cheers

I have never said that.
Joomla 1.7 is not a long term supported joomla version and thus is why we recommend to upgrade to the latest one.

FPSS latest version now -3.2.0- solves as every new version in every extension minor or bigger issues the previous has or just enhances the performance.
