Track statistics vs google analytics was created by Luke Pereira

I liked that I can see the stats of frontpage in backend. However, it seems to be stuck at just 20 hits and never moves for one of my events. I know there are many ppl clicking on it.
Also, does google analytics track the links when ppl use it?
edit: actually google does not track the slideshow, i checked it

Are you sure you did not disable statistics inbetween?
