I have just intalled FFSS v 3.2.0 on a joomla 2.5.4 site. I have already searched your forum for this issue but and the 2 messages I found suggested the user PM the facilitator. So if there was a resolution to this problem, I do not know what it was.

FFSS, under the Extensions Manager, displays both the component (Administrator)  and the module (Site) as published. I have emptied my cahce as suggested and I have also installed AdminTools as suggested. So far nothing has worked. FFSS icon still does not display in my components forum.

I have been unsuccessful trying to install Front Page Slide Show version 3.2.0 on a Joomla 2.5 installation.

After install attempt the following error occurs:

"Fatal error: Call to a member function setState() on a non-object in /home/domain/test_html/joomla25/administrator/modules/mod_fpss_stats/mod_fpss_stats.php on line 43"

Please install Admin Tools from www.akeebabackup.com/ in order to fix your permissions as they should be and then reinstall the extension.

I have Akeeba Pro installed and have run the fixed the permissions tool. I reinstalled FPSS and get the same results as previous:

Instead of going straight to the component, this time I opened the module first.

Error/warning in the module parameter:
Extension attribute is empty in the category field

The module parameter display is missing much of it's styling including module description information and some drop down items in Basic Options such as select slide show template.

Switching to the Component menu and selecting FPSS returns a 404 error "component not found"

Returning to control panel brings up the error mentioned in the above post.

Then I have to manually remove FPSS in order to get my admin screens back.
