After a lot of trial and error, I have found that if I hide all of the following: Title, Text, Tagline, Category, Author, and Read More Link, FPSS will break (displays first slide but will not advance).  If you have multiple slides published and any one of them is set to hide all of these values the slideshow breaks, as well as if you set the category settings to hide all.

I get the following error when I try to manually advance the slides:
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'top' of undefined

If I switch any one of the settings back to "Show" the slides begin to work again.

I am using FPSS v.3.2.0 and Joomla 2.5.4, www.stmarystennis.org/25

Well I have a slide where I just want to display a JPG with no text overlay.  But when I insert that slide and turn all the custom settings to "Hide", the slideshow stops rotating.

It works fine on my Joomla 1.5 site (www.stmarystennis.org)

Check that your slideshow works fine if you change the settings you mentioned before.

Secondly, once you verify the above- put the images you don't want to have text in a category that you have set the parameters as you want (hiding) and leave the FPSS module parameters for text to show. Remember to clean your cache.

Yes I verified that the slides start to rotate if I change one of the advanced settings to "show" for the slide in question.

I created a 2nd category with the default settings all set to "Hide", and put that slide in the category with all parameters set to "Inherit".  When I set the module to display both categories, the slides don't work again.  But if I change on of the new category's settings to "show" it works.

So right back where we started lol. ???

Ah ok yes...from the other thread, Text Effect is whats breaking it.  Disabling text effect worked for me also.
