I have exaclty the same problem described from jmuehleisen in this post:

My Artisteer template is 3.1, my FPSS is 3.2 my Joomla is 2.5.4
Artisteer has a "expand on hovor" option for menus in the sidebars which seems to conflict with FPSS.
When FPSS is not enabled, the "expand on hovor" works fine.  When FPSS is enabled, the "expand on hovor" does not work.....
If I chose the option "Do not load the JQuery library" ... the "expand on hover" menus work just fine, but the slides in FPSS do not load.

I already tried changing all the jquery library handling option without success.

I saw the problem was solved in this site:

Is it possible to know how?

Yesss!!! SOLVED...!!!
I installed  jQuery++ Integrator by tushev.org with base option all activated (jQuery noConflict mode activated)
Embed jQuery UI Yes
Embed jQuery UI CSS Yes
Embed jQuery Tools Yes
I rename jquery.js under root folder of template generated by Artisteer.
It works!!
Now expand on hovor works in the page with FPSS.
