I just added the slideshow to a Joomla 1.7 site but it is not showing on the homepage.  I can see the frame (a border) in the module position but no slides.  I went into the component to add a new slide along with the demo slides that are already loaded in order to test it, however I also had problems clicking on the icons to link to article, url or menu nothing happens.  I clicked an article title and the screen didn't refresh to show my choice.  I ended up having to click the back arrow to get back to the previous page.  I thought it may be a problem with Java but my Java plugin is updated.  I'm having this issue using G Chrome and Firefox. 

Yesterday I added the slideshow to a 2.5 site and it worked fine.  Any ideas on how to resolve this?

Thanks for your suggestion. Unfortunately, that does not resolve the problem.  I tried each jquery option and neither makes a difference. 

The link of your site is leads to an error page...
However, joomla! 1.7 is not a long term supported version so I would suggest you to upgrade to latest joomla version.

Sorry, the link changed to www.district79.org/joomlanew2.  I haven't figured out why the slideshow isn't working, but I will go ahead an upgrade to 2.5.
