When we create a Extra Field, where do these get created? If I can find out where it is I can edit the choice to hopefully autpopulate it with a closing date/finish publishing date. That way I only need to select it once..

Thanks, but wondering in which file these are then stored. I can create a date field for "closing date" and add the date when I do the item, but then have to also put the finish publishing date in the other field, hoping to do this automatically by finding the file with the new extra field item and adding "publish_down as the value, so it is automatically added to the extra field item.

To clarify on this:

I created an extra field for date

Instead of having to select a date for each item I create, I want to set this to publish_down which is the finish publishing date.

Where would I find the file that you said it's created in? I've looked for it and struggling to find it. Thanks.
