i'd like to ask if there is a way how to order articles within a category ad hoc by user. I mean i can find ordering by article properties, such as title, publishing date, but is it possible to customize the ordering, to give a ordering priority to articles within a category?

If you filter the backend item view by category, change and save the orderof the items and then set the ordering in the display to "order" it should work
