Just curious... When using IE 9, a 4" pop-up message displayed on the top our website saying the browser was old (version 6.0 or something) and advising to upgrade to newer versions of IE or Firefox since they're more compatible with Joomla.

1) Why did this happen despite the browser used being more up to date than what the message suggested?

2) Is there a way to disable this from ever appearing again? It makes our site look suspicious and we fear it may scare away clients, thinking that it's spam.
