You need to go to the Joomla! Global Configuration and enable the Unicode Aliases option. Then you need to reopen and resave the items

Thank for your help ! I want using "SEF URL character replacements" to set Title Alias with not vietnamese sign ! similar with K2_SVN before version.

Example:
Title: Điểm mạnh và yếu của U23 Việt Nam (vietnamese with full sign)
Title Alias: diem-manh-va-yeu-cua-u23-viet-nam (vietnamese no sign)

K2.5.1 also have same problems with K2.5.0, everybody can help me settings to using SEF URL replacements please !

You need to setup this as a transliteration option in the Vietnamesse language package, so it will transliterate it for any extension (including K2).
See here:
docs.joomla.org/Making_a_Language_Pack_for_Joomla_1.6

Refer to the translator of Joomla!, he/she would know what to do (probably).

Thank to Ivo Apostolov ! I was written transliterate function but not work with K2.

With SVN version I do not need to do anything, just replace the SEF URL characte with Vietnamese.

But K2 2.5.1 not same with SVN version !

Hello, first thanks for your great K2 component! I have the same problem with VietPublic. Currently, I use K2 2.5.1 on Joomla 1.7.3 and there are 2 issues to ask:
1. Why you don't keep the 'Title Alias' in standard Joomla's articles which have been set already before import into K2?
2. What is the purpose of 'SEF URL character replacements' if it's no effect in our case?
Thanks for your help
