Author image question was created by Chris
I am trying to set up a blog site and am playing around with different options. On the home page I have the K2 Content module showing all item categories. I have a test item set up and I like the layout it gives on the home page.

Then I went to try a different route under then menu item blog role. There the menu item type is set to Categories. I changed a few things but one thing I do not like is the fact that the Author Images does not show as it does on the front page. How can I get the Author image to show as it does on the front page?

Just to let everyone know under the Item View Options within the category for the test post Author Image is set to show.

Links and versions would be helpfull, but in general the k2_content is controlled by the module and its views, and the category view is controlled by either the default template selected or a custom override.
You can make many changes using k2 templating which may have changed a bit from 2.4.1 to 2.5 but the idea is the same. You can edit category_php, category_item.php, or item.php to create different views for the category menu choice. see here:

jsn epic has built in k2 overrides
look in templates/{yourjsnversion}/html/com_k2/templates/default/item.php
and
/{yourjsnversion}/html/Mod_k2_content/default/default.php

for the layout files

I do not understand what you mean. I has overrides. Ok cool. What do I need to do in order that the avatar picture show on the menu item rather than the module?

If you are using mod_k2_content, the the override layout for mod _k2 content controls the views, if you are using the category layout from a menu then the category_item.php or item.php in the default directory control the layout. Make changes in the appropriate file to change the author image display

That all well and good but this still does not tell me when yo change on the file to get it to show. I am a user not a coder.

Hi, i'm interested too in this question.

What is the code to insert an author image in my default.php file, for the override?

I would modify my layaout and i would insert the author image. What is the code to call the author image?

Using Joomla! 3.0.3 and K2 v.2.6.6
