How do you assign a K2 item multiple Categories?

I found the following thread where this was discussed - community.getk2.org/forum/topics/k2-item-in-multiple-categories

But nobody had an answer. Is this functionality really missing from K2? This seems like a huge limitation to K2.

Anybody have any tips or information on this?

Well, today we have this extension - www.usjoomlapros.com/Extensions/K2-Multi-Categories/flypage.tpl.html
It's work with K2.4.1 and Joomla 1.5
I asked the developer and he says what K2.5 and Joomla 1.7 support will be soon - about one-two weeks.
I don't see another ways for multicategories for K2 (except v3 for K2)
But you must understand that this extension work ONLY with K2 and not working with another 3rd extensions, as far as I know

I wonder how far is the support for K2 Multiple Categories and content versioning. It's been over a year now.
