I'm probably overthinking this, but I'm trying to figure out how to add a module that would list the categories that are shown on that page. Each menu is set up as a K2 >> Itemlist/Category, but I would like a list of the Categories show on the page on the left - something like the following image from demo.getk2.org

I think I just had this configured wrong.

Any way to configure the k2 tool - category list module so that each page just shows what categories are on that page?

this would be tough with this module as it gets the category names directly from the database.
i would perhaps add to the k2 categoryitem template instead.
perhaps adding a bit of php to duplicate the category names at the top of the page in a div.
