I would like to change the appearance of my K2 content. Is this possible? I have found numerous K2 Templates but I don't want to change the overall appearance of my site just the way K2 displays things such as title bar color and so on in the content component.

You can editk2.css, but the best way is to create an override (search here for templating) and then get css4k2 from jiliko.net and edit a custom k2 css for each k2 template to your liking
