I am entering tags, and with a lot of the articles the tags that they have are related to their category, some are common. I'd like to have these either in a group to be added easily, or else attached to the category. That would be sweet and save me a tonne of time!

In parameters > advanced

You can select a setting called select by list or something. This allows you to select multiple tags very easily, and you can still add new ones. This is now my preferred default.
