I am just developing a magazine website and need to be able to display 2 main things
1. I need to display "Most Read, Most Popular, Most Commented" in a tab
2. Is there an auto readmore plugin for K2.

All articles seem to always show in full when display K2 content in categories.

You could you the K2 content module for that. In fact 3 K2 content modules configured to display items sorted by your criteria. The 3 modules could be displayed in tabs via another extension (maybe via your Joomla! template feature).

2. Is there an auto readmore plugin for K2.

you can either have 1 editor window in your item and then you have to set the readmore tag manually or have 2 editor windows (introtext/fulltext) and then the readmore is set implicitely. This depends on your K2 global configuration.

1. Ok i get the creation of the modules but dont get the status they will be in before using another 3rd party tab module.
Once I create a K2 module called "most read" do I publish it or not.

2. Most of the articles will be submitted by freelancers and i might not have the control as to where they put the "read more".
hence why I would like something that auto readmore as standard Joomla has.
