Problem:
Ok so i have gone through all the settings and parameters and i am getting no where.

Global Parameters =
xsmall = 50
small = 100
medium = 200
large = 300
xlarge = 400

Simple right? the image i set for an item should show up as ONE of the above settings....but they dont!

SO i added an item into a SUB category
When i goto the front end and click on the parent category i see the image below the subcategory item title
the image is HUGE
its showing at 350 by 350
Where the hell is that coming from?

Ok lets try something else
i clicked on the SUB category and the image is still there at 350 x 350
WTF man?

Now i clicked on the item itself
well well, finally something is right because in there the image shows as 100 x 100
Ok so thats actually showing up backwards but whatever for now

Now youll probably ask what the settings are right?

THese are the CATEGORY SETTINGS
Category Item Layout
leading = Medium (this should be 200 but its showing up as 350)
primary = Medium is same as above
secondary = small (this should be 100 but its not important now)


Item Image Options Tab is all BLANK

Under Item view options Tab the image size is set for SMALL
ok well that explains why the item image on item view is 100x100

But why cant i change the item image on category view?

so the bottom line is that i cant change the size of item image in category view

or at least i cant find out what setting is incorrect to change it

SOLVED!!! and i cant believe i missed this one

When setting up the first category, i setup all its parameters and layout etc

Now after that category, i have several other PARENT categories
and several CHILD categories on each one

When i created all the categories AFTER the original one, i noticed a setting which allows you to
"create this category using the parameters from _xxx_ category you already created"


Basically if you create category A with its parameters
you can them create category B C D E F G H I J K and so on telling all the new ones to use the same parameters as category A


I couldnt get any of my display settings to change because i really needed to go in and change the settings for A
