yes, very odd indeed....I'm not touching it till I see some documentation and a changelog.
There's been no release upgrade announcement, changelog or blog comment.
Really really strange. No info whatsoever.
Makes me wonder if it's a real release and not some hacked implant....

me too.. not into updating anything, I am not going to touch whatever version is released without a changelog. Moreover K2 at present requires a lot of improvement in lot of areas...
if K2 developers are not going to release a proper changelog and documentation, or if they are not going to make it a complete product , there is no point in releasing new versions. no one is going to download and install it blindly.

It's also odd that it doesn't seem to be of any concern to anyone else - just you and I. ( Like in a movie where everyone is hypnotized except for one or two people !! he he )
It's been at least 4 days now since I first saw the new version / upgrade available for download - and still no announcement / changelog / documentation / info.
It's like they don't even know that there's an upgraded version online now !
I find it concerningly most odd, and carelessly unprofessional I'd have to say as well.
Perhaps someone has had an accident ?

Well said Paul, may be sun dint rise in their part of world..
or it must be dont care policy.
see if they find it difficult to do things in a professional way with free version of K2, all I suggest is develop K2 into a best component with all the features a end user would want and put a price tag. we are ready to pay... if it is a best component.
One more thing... they are developers they know what is in K2... as end users we need docs, changelogs to know what is in the component, a good Software will succeed only when developers think from the end user point of view.

While this is a very old thread, it is the first result when searching for changelog.
Release announcements can be read at getk2.org/show/tag/release, which include an overview of each release, and details of all changes are available at code.google.com/p/getk2/source/list
