I am having some issues with the login feature.

We have recently put a fresh joomla install on our domain due to some hacking and malware. We retained our k2 database and reinstalled this without issue except from the user group and users.

I have a bunch of users to recreate but started with one as a test. I created the user and then went to the database and changed the id to match the k2 user associated with one of the groups and items.

So far so good. The "J_User cannot be found" error disappeared in the front and back end and the edited users name now appeared on the blogs "written by" as we had hoped.

The problem is that the user cannot login in the frontend. I have checked that the settings are correct, she is listed as an editor, she can edit , post, etc., and she belongs to the correct user group.

Am I missing something?
