my site idea hinges on user blogs. i see that K2 is a highly developed extension, but i have a few important questions:


can you "search" tags? i have read that this is not possible

is there a limit to the amount of user blogs and/or profiles?

can tags and/or categories be separated into different pages?

my goal was to have a clean looking site with article sliders that each linked to different pages pertaining to their categories. this seemed to be easy on tumblr, but then again that was created specifically for this function.

do you have any tips or ideas that may fit in well with what im trying to do?

Hi Matt,

Yes, you can search tags. You need to enable it in the Plugin Manager -> K2 Search. This plugin will extend the Joomla's search functionality into K2 contents.

I've not known of any user limitations in K2.

The new version of K2, allows you to create a menu item to a specific tag.
