Okay, I'm getting my ass kicked here.
I don't have a local user group to do this with.

What I'm looking for are some other noobs (3 to 5 people) that want to participate in copying a simple existing website layout (with our own content of course). I don't care if we use the ipsum lorem (or whatever) for text.

WE would decide:
Which website to copy (simple layout and english please)
Which FREE template to use
A domain name that we can use for the development of the site.
I am happy to buy the domain name and host it.

The great thing about computers is that they do EXACTLY what you tell them to do. The thing that SUCKS is that computers do EXACTLY what you tell them to do!

The problem that I'm having is that what I expect to see when I click on the "View Site" icon, is NOT what I see AT ALL!

Our goal is to share; what we did, how we did what we did, what we learned from it and anything else you can think of to facilitate our learning of K2.

The site layout that we copy can be a joomla site or not. Because I'm doing a tennis lessons site (when I get more learning under my belt), I won't be doing a Blog or a Catalog site. Everybody okay with that?

Setting up all those parameters is where I'm going wrong (Category view/item view, etc.).

Suggestions? Comments?

We will be able to contribute to this K2 forum as we learn.

Please(!) DO NOT join this project if you don't plan on doing anything!
