Take a look at this link
magazine.joomla.org/issues/Issue-Jan-2012/itemlist/category/52-2012-January
It looks like a category listing of K2, notice the space between the first and second stories.
It looks like the first is the category block and the items in it are the items from that category
ie: a new category for each issue

Thank you for chime in Mr William,
I'm subscribed but not receiving any notification email for your reply from this forum.
I'm not really understand about that link.
Do you mean, every month I need to make categories? Or I need to make Jan-Des Categories and then Also The Department Categories Inside the Month Cats? And put each Issue Items inside them?
And how to make the Homepage display the Curent Month Issue Automatically?
Will the past issue automatically goes to archive? Or can we determine the range of published items who should go or not go to archive?
Thanks alot

:D magazine.joomla.org is using K2 and other extensions from Joomlaworks.
magazine.joomla.org/issues go here, and you can see all the sub-category of Months being listed. When you click the months, you get all the items for that month.
You can make the current month items as Featured and list them for the Homepage menu item.
Senang saja, bukan sukar :D

Wohooo...Terimakasih Kannan! I bet you know what it's mean. :)
I'm still on learning curve about K2.
So, how to make the categories?
Issue
|__ January 2012
|__ February 2012 etc
Or
2012
|__ISSUE
|___January
|___Feb etc
Please elaborate more...
And What I should I set on HOME Menu for mainbody displaying current month issue?
And What module to display this month issue like image above?
Please elaborate more..
Saya senang ada yang membantu :)
Terimakasih

Hehehe, yup i know what it means. Sama Sama.... Maaf, saya sibuk sikit, lambat reply.
Magazine categories
Issue
|__ January 2012
|__ February 2012 etc
would be the best option, i would def do it this way.. If not there are just too many clicks for users to get information.
If the current month is January 2012, then your home menu item should point to the January2012 category folder, you can also choose to show all items in that category or just the items marked as featured.
As for the module, i believe they're using the K2 Content Module.

Kannan, anda pahlawan saya! hahaha...Terimakasih banyaaaak!!!
Ada lagi pertanyaan saya, I think it still relates to my subject.
I tried to post new item (frontend) and this brings me to a popup window that very looooooong to upload.
Is this the default how people write a new item from frontpage? Can we do this in regular (no popup?)
I'm using Rockettheme.
Sekali lagi, terimakasih atas waktunya.

Hi Joseph... pahlawan LOL
Yes, the adding new item in frontend does load in a popup window. If you're using rockettheme, i guess there is a conflict with rokbox or the class. You can ask this in their support forum.
Not so sure if you can do this in regular (no popup).
